The Emergency Medicine Symposium, led by emergency physicians, strives to create a collegial atmosphere that encourages lively discussions and the exchange of concepts relevant to clinicians practising in metropolitan, regional, and tertiary Emergency departments.

We take immense pride in our efforts to assemble a world-class academic program that remains both relevant and engaging for practising Emergency Physicians. Our conference fosters a bidirectional learning environment, promoting mutual growth and knowledge sharing.

A central focus of our symposium is applying evidence-based medicine to real-life patient care. We emphasize practicality over novelty, ensuring that the latest research and validated methods are seamlessly integrated into daily clinical practice. Our commitment is to enhance patient outcomes and improve the efficiency of emergency departments through practical and proven approaches.

Invested in Giving

Our Philanthropic  Portfolio

Delivering world-class academic excellence for frontline clinicians is our primary mission.
Philanthropy is dear to us, our team is commited to donating proceeds from this conference to Charity.

Great Speakers

We are incredibly grateful for our fantastic faculty of speaker delegates who have volunteered their time and expertise to enable the goals of the Emergency Medicine Symposium. Academic excellence is our foremost priority, with philanthropy closely following. Each speaker has generously volunteered their time and invested significant intellectual effort, contributing to both the academic rigor and the philanthropic mission of our symposium.

Networking

We value the unique opportunities that in-person presentations offer and hope to develop meaningful clinical partnerships and lifelong friendships.

Da Nang, Between Moments

And beyond the symposium—

Follow the scent of lotus blossoms through ancient temples, where incense curls in quiet rhythm and time seems to slow. Sip tea poured with care in sun-dappled courtyards. Wander barefoot where the Han River meets the sea, watching fishing boats drift like passing thoughts.

Da Nang doesn’t just offer rest—it invites reflection.

In a world that rarely pauses, this city teaches presence, stillness, and the art of being fully, intentionally here.

As a first-timer to this conference, what struck me most was the inclusive, relaxed, welcoming vibe that really complemented the academic program. It is so much easier to remain engaged and to learn when you feel comfortable speaking up, asking questions, or providing opinions. Thank you for creating such an atmosphere!

The fact that by attending this conference, we were able to assist in a very worthwhile cause in Sri Lanka was such a bonus, and I want to congratulate the organisers for their amazing efforts both in organising the conference and in their quest for equity for people/communities.

I thoroughly enjoyed the week and know that I will be back to attend another Emergency Medicine Symposium.

Dr Anoushka Perera

The kindest and most collegiate conference I have ever attended. I will be back!

Dr Ross McAlpine
FACEM

Thanks so much to the organisers! So much effort which is deeply appreciated.

Dr Robert Millar
FACEM

The Emergency Medicine Symposium is a conference that is a notch above because it is a smaller and more intimate way to learn, reflect, and connect with like-minded people. And always in a superb destination! Already looking forward to the next one!

Lai Heng Foong

Thank you and well done to the faculty.

Dr Christina Fong

A thoughtfully curated conference which included exploring global emergency care by visiting a local tertiary emergency department in the Philippines. Wonderful memories created through rich learning content, engaging speakers, and highly enjoyable social gatherings.

DR Shalina Navaratnam

This was such an amazing conference... relevant EM topics. It was great to see children were welcome in this, makes such a difference (even though mine is much older already). Will look forward to the future conferences.

Close-knit ED colleague family conference. Great venue for family (Shangri-La). Appropriately scheduled half-day conference. Great location - Cebu. Fits the purpose—CPD for a cause. Reality check with resource-limited ED visit (Cebu hospital)."

Another great conference, had fun and learned a lot. The field visit to the local hospital was an eye-opening experience. It made me appreciate the struggles we have with work and life are nothing compared to these hard-working doctors and nurses at Cebu.
